LIBRARY NEWS FOR 2008!

After all the waiting, wondering, and anticipation, the NEW and IMPROVED Shady Cove Library is now open!  You won't believe your eyes...the brand new library is absolutely gorgeous.  The Grand Opening was on July 11, 2008, with a record crowd of over 100 people of all ages, welcoming the new building.  So you say that you missed it?  Well, don't fret, I captured these photos and also have a slideshow for you to enjoy.  Make sure that your support the library, they are counting on you.....

  Library Hours are 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays; 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Fridays.  Don't forget Story Time, which is on Fridays at 10:30.   If you have some spare time and don't know what to do with it, then you should think about becoming  a part of the Friends of the Library.  For more information call 878-2270.

Fitness Classes for Kids

Free community Kids Yoga Classes are being offered at the URCC on Tuesday's from 5:00-5:30.  These classes are geared for 5 year olds and older.  Currently, the children in the After School Daycare Program participate in the class.  It is a lot of fun and Sandy loves working with children!  For more information please contact Sandy Dennis at:  878-2993 or visit her Website:

"STEVIE THE WONDER SQUIRREL SLIDE SHOW"

Have you met "Stevie the Wonder Squirrel"?  Rivertech was very lucky to have "Stevie" come into our lives on April 26, 2006!  His mommy and daddy were taken away to Heaven, so he adopted us. We became his parents until he was ready to move on to being a "Real Squirrel".   The last time we saw him was right before Spring this year!  He will always hold a special place in our hearts and we are sure he will in yours.  As you can see from the photos, he was not just any squirrel.  Our customer's still ask about "Stevie".

DECEMBER EVENTS FOR KIDS

On December 12th the Shady Cove Merchants will be joining together with the Shady Cove Fire Department by having a Children's Christmas Party starting at 5:00-7:00 at the Shady Cove Fire Department.  Santa will be there to have pictures taken of your child for FREE.  There will be tables set-up for cookie decorating and Christmas crafts Each child will be given a stocking consisting of fruit, candy, a coloring book and stuffed animals  .  Every family will be given a fir seedling donated by ODF. Refreshments will be served to the adults.  Let's give a special thank you to all of the Shady Cove Fire Department Support Group volunteers who are making this event possible.
