Peggy Honingford is a
very familiar name in Shady Cove. She
has a sales and marketing background, so it is no wonder that 10 years
ago, she decided to open up Bargains on the Rogue, a “Very Friendly
Second Hand Store!” Every time that you enter the store, you will see
a different theme. For Peggy
it is not a job, but a love and a passion.
Peggy always enjoyed going with her mom to thrift stores, and
learned how to become an expert on what people were looking for.
When one enters the
store, they are greeted by a smiling face and a friendly hello.
You are able to leisurely explore every nick and cranny without
being pressured. Of course,
if you need some help, Peggy and her staff are always ready to answer
your questions, or direct you in the right direction.
If you don’t see what you are looking for, just ask! Chances
are that we can locate it for you.
Peggy found her niche
in providing something that the community was in desperate need of.
With over 3000 square feet of space, she has something for
everyone. Peggy has always
kept her prices very reasonable, with items ranging in price from 25¢-$500.00.
The stock is always changing, so if you see something that you
really want, or need, you better buy it now!
If you don’t move quickly, it
most likely will end up as someone else’s treasure.
On thing that you
won’t want to miss is the Yard Sale!
Several times a year, Bargains on the Rogue has a huge yard sale.
This event brings in people from all over
Jackson
County
, to get even more savings from her already reasonably prices items.
Christmas at Bargains
on the Rogue starts in October. The
store really comes alive for this holiday! Come in and see the huge
selection of Christmas items. If
there is anything that you need to make your house a home at Christmas,
you’ll find it here!
To rejuvenate and come
back to life, Peggy and her staff close the store during the month of
January. Make sure that you
come back in February and see what new treasures Peggy found while she
was closed!
